Gregg May
Founder, Owner & Director
Gregg is the owner and Managing Director of Autohistoric. A qualified engineer with over 20 years experience and a lifelong love of classic automotive engineering. Gregg grew up around classic and sports cars of all ages and varieties, and from an early age was involved in building and restoring numerous cars and machines with family and friends.
Later, he spent two years at Brooklands College, the former Locke King family home, with the old Brooklands circuit within touching distance. This cemented his love of early vehicles and the pioneering motorsport endeavours of the engineers of the first part of the 20th century. His education was interesting and varied, culminating in a degree in 2003 with qualifications in Automotive and Motorsport Engineering.

In 2005 Gregg joined Eagle E-Types, the internationally recognised Jaguar E-Type specialists, building cars, engines, and engineering components and assemblies. In 2010 he formed Autohistoric, a secondary outlet for his passion for all things automotive.

In early 2021 he acquired Henal Engineering, leaving Eagle E-Types to concentrate on veteran and vintage vehicles and bringing Henal under the Autohistoric banner later the same year.

Autohistoric Ltd has an important part to play in the preservation of our early motoring history and Gregg feels privileged to be a part of this process.
